Christmas vacation!
Kate’s Diary is on Christmas vacation, but don’t worry, I will return after Christmas and new years. I have an exam right after new years, so after that I’ll be back in full force :) I’ll try to get some research done in the mean time. I can’t wait to write about Kate’s adventures at St Andrews! It’ll be fun :)
Thank you all for reading :) See you all in 2012!

I’ve been so distracted these past couple of days. I can’t stop thinking about how absolutely amazing St Andrews is going to be. There are so many things I want to do! Find some amazing running routes (and find new running buddies!). Learn about the history of the place. Maybe take up some new sports. Maybe try golfing? That would certainly be appropriate. Maybe take some cooking classes, if I can find some (I love cooking!). I hope I have time to do it all! :D
What did you look most forward to doing when you started college? Do you have any ideas to what I should do in St Andrews?

Just a photo from my Marlborough days. Me playing hockey :) My sister Pippa is behind me on the right. She hates this picture, so don’t tell her I posted it! :D
My goodness. I need everything! You’d think that I had most of the things I’d need since I’ve already been boarding at Marlborough, but no apparently not.
Oh, my mum and Pippa are putting together a going-away party for me I think. They won’t admit it but I’m positive that they are up to something! I wonder what..
Yes, this is the real Kate Middleton! And if you look at my posts I have marked them all with the date they are written (just a service announcement). Welcome to my blog :) I’m so happy to have you on board! Hope to hear from you again, I love talking to you guys! - Kate
No, this is not her, sorry to ruin it for you :) It would be kind of awesome if she did have a blog though — I would definitely read it! I have been looking forward to getting this question - it was bound to come. This is a partly fictional diary I’m writing.
I’m not sure how many of the people who read this journal keep up with British news, so here’s a bit of really old news. I believe it has been known since last year actually. Anyway, I just thought of it yesterday, but I can’t believe I didn’t remember before. Prince William will also be attending St Andrews this year! And you’ll never guess what course he’s taking. I actually only learned this now - he will also be studying Art History!
Small world, isn’t it? I suppose the royal family are people just like us. I bet a lot of girls are going to be throwing themselves at him. Poor William. I’m so glad it isn’t me, I don’t think I could handle all that attention..
It turns out that some things are worth waiting for! I was accepted into St Andrews’ Art History programme! And it looks like there was no reason at all for me to worry all this time. My grades were more than sufficient! I am absolutely over the moon!
Since my letter was delayed I have a lot of planning to do in quite a limited time, so posts here will be short (but hopefully sweet :) ). I have to be at St Andrews for Freshers’ Week which starts September 24th!
Can’t wait to tell you more!

I finally got the letter! I haven’t opened it yet. I will return later with more news. Sorry for the short snippets these past few days. Things have been a bit intense.
There is still no sign of it. I’m not sure if this means anything. Maybe they don’t send out letters to those who don’t … No, that doesn’t seem right. That’s not how it works, is it?
I haven’t received my letter yet. I have literally been waiting by the letter box every morning for the past three days now. I think our postman is starting to think that I have a crush on him! Poor Mr. Briggs looked so confused when he left :) Oh dear. I don’t want to get in trouble with Mrs. Briggs!
A lot of my friends have already heard from their universities. But it’s still “mid August”-ish. I’m sure it’ll be here on Monday.
The letter is going to be here any day now!! I have been told that the letters go out in the middle of August, so in a few days I’m going to know for sure! Ohh it’s so terribly exciting :)
